- Preparar antecipadamente revisando as palavras que poderão ser usadas na situação que se vai vivenciar (ir ao aeroporto, por exemplo);
- Assistir trechos de séries de TV, com e sem legendas;
- Observar os sinais não-verbais das conversas entre as pessoas. Estes sinais podem lhe ajudar a entender a situação e o que está sendo tratado;
- Entender os costumes e a cultura dos lugares que se planeja visitar.
