Muitas vezes, a complexidade dos problemas globais nos paralisa, mas a solução pode estar em uma mudança radical de perspectiva. Nesta parábola inspiradora, um cientista tenta desafiar o filho pequeno a reconstruir um mapa-múndi recortado, acreditando que a tarefa levaria dias; para sua surpresa, o menino resolve o enigma rapidamente com uma lógica desconcertante: ao perceber que no verso do mapa havia a imagem de uma pessoa, ele entendeu que para consertar o mundo, bastava primeiro consertar o homem.

| A scientist lived preoccupied with the world's problems and was determined to find ways to alleviate them. | One day, his seven-year-old son invaded his sanctuary, intent on helping him work. Nervous about the interruption, the scientist tried to get the boy to play elsewhere. Seeing that it would be impossible to dissuade him, the father looked for something that could be given to his son to distract him. | Certo dia, seu filho de sete anos invadiu o seu santuário, decidido a ajudá-lo a trabalhar. | Suddenly, he came across a map of the world—exactly what he needed! With the help of a pair of scissors, he cut the map into several pieces and, along with a roll of adhesive tape, handed it to his son, saying: | De repente, deparou-se com o mapa do mundo: era o que procurava! | At first, the father did not believe his son's words. It would be impossible for someone his age to reconstruct a map he had never seen before. Reluctantly, the scientist lifted his eyes from his notes, certain he would see a typical child's attempt. To his surprise, the map was complete. All the pieces had been placed in their proper positions. | A princípio, o pai não deu crédito às palavras do filho.
