| One day, an Indian thinker asked his disciples the following question: | Um dia, um pensador indiano fez a seguinte pergunta a seus discípulos : |
| "Why do people scream when they are upset?" | "Por que as pessoas gritam quando estão aborrecidas?" |
| "We scream because we lose our cool," said one of them. | "Gritamos porque perdemos a calma", disse um deles. |
| "But, why scream when the other person is next to you?", questioned the thinker again. | "Mas, por que gritar quando a outra pessoa está ao seu lado?", questionou novamente o pensador. |
| "Well, we shout because we want the other person to hear us," replied another disciple. | "Bem, gritamos porque desejamos que a outra pessoa nos ouça", retrucou outro discípulo. |
| And the master asks again: | E o mestre volta a perguntar : |
| "So it's not possible to speak to him in a low voice?" | "Então não é possível falar-lhe em voz baixa?" |
