Neste vídeo do canal Free to Choose Network, somos apresentados a uma realidade surpreendente. Embora o governo da Índia ofereça educação gratuita, um número considerável de pais opta por matricular seus filhos em escolas com diversos problemas de infraestrutura, com vazamentos e falta de água potável. E qual a razão? A péssima qualidade de ensino oferecida pelas escolas públicas, que faz com que os pais busquem por alternativas de melhor qualidade para a educação de seus filhos. Mesmo sendo extremamente pobres os pais se sacrificam para matricular seus filhos em escolas localizadas dentro das próprias favelas.
Mas será que não existem boas escolas na Índia? Certamente, mas as vagas nessas escolas são reservadas para os filhos de funcionários do governo ☹️
